Rating
Our 2 kids had lice and this product got rid of it. We tried Rid and they came back and our pediatrician recommended Fairy Tales. We were able to get 6 uses out of 1 bottle and my son and daughter had many nits that came right out after we used it for a few days. It didn't take long at all and we followed the instructions to do 2 treatments in one day and two the next. We had more so we did it again a few days later. No chemicals or pesticides so it was ok. Watched the bugs go down the drain and the nits combed out so easily.

Rating
My youngest daughter had been battling lice for 2 weeks- Rid didn't work at all after 2 treatments, and I felt awful putting the pesticides on her head. I was going crazy finding eggs and nymphs, and then I found Licefreee! I left it on for 90 minutes (it recommends at least an hour, but since it isn't a pesticide, I decided to leave it on longer). When I started combing through, I found dead lice which reassured me it worked. (after rinsing the Rid shampoo, lice were still crawling around). It's been 2 days now, and no sign of lice. I am still using the Robi comb ($30 at Walgreens which I also highly recommend- it detects live lice and kills them instantly).

Rating
When my younger daughter was sent home with nits 2 months ago, I tried Nix, Rid, mayo, and tea tree oil. Nothing worked, and I hated having to treat my 6 year old's head with poisons. I tried Licefreee because it's non-toxic, and because of the positive reviews here on Amazon. I'm writing this to add one more positive review. You don't need to hesitate to buy Licefreee; this product is absolutely worth the money. I just wish I'd had it during my oldest daughter's 6-month lice battle 5 years ago. It stopped the lice dead, making it easy to see & remove even the smallest nymphs. It loosens the eggs so they're easier to remove. And it doesn't have fumes that make your eyes bleed. We've been lice free for 3 weeks now, and I'm beginning to think the battle has been won (knock on wood). A couple of points: 1. Do your nit-picking in natural light. 2. The gel makes the hair sticky and tangly, making it hard to comb out the lice, so brush well first. 3. The directions say to leave the gel in for at least an hour. Longer is better. 4. Check eBay first; you might get a bargain.

When there are conflicting reviews, as there are with most lice related products, it's hard to tell what to expect. After several lice epidemics at school and countless hours picking by hand, we took a gamble. The results were amazing. And we started with a substantial infestation. When we completed the process, there was almost no evidence of lice of any kind. Totally worth the money. BTW, as other reviews on the Internet state, the comb alone is worth the money - far superior to any we encountered.

This product totally worked for us! Within minutes of applying I was shocked to find tons of dead bugs. We knocked out a really nasty case of head lice with just one application. There is no foul odor and I didn't hesitate to treat the whole family [...] because I wasn't worried for a minute that it was dangerous.

There was no question that it killed the bugs. I saw them on my hands. It was disgusting! Totally worked, though.

Have to say, however, that we used all the other Rosemary Repel products to prevent the lice in the first place and apparently they didn't keep us safe...

Rating
My kids kept coming home from school and their many cousins' houses with head lice. We tried RID, NIX, Cetaphil, and vinegar/mayonaise partnered with the RobiComb. None of it worked, we battled head lice for 4 months and spent several hundred dollars on treatments, sprays, and laundry soap.

Finally, I got sick of repeatedly putting pesticides on their heads and found Lice Freee. In one treatment, it killed all lice and their eggs. The eggs are easier to remove from their hair (I used Neon Nits to color the eggs pink and found them all quickly for more thorough removal.), it smelled great, and it didn't burn my kids' eyes. The two bottles were big enough to treat the whole family of four (my daughter and I have long hair), with enough left over to treat the two kids again.

I partnered the Lice Freee with daily combings with the RobiComb, which caught every single microscopic bug they brought home from school. Since the comb caught bugs they brought home from school, no new eggs were ever laid. I have not found an egg and have not had to treat for head lice in 5 months. All 9 of the cousins have had the same treatment, are combed with the RobiComb daily, and have stayed Lice Free.

Lice Freee works great if you already have a lice infestation, but to avoid lice altogether, I highly recommend buying a RobiComb and using it every day, even after the infestation is gone. You will catch anything your kids bring home within 3 minutes and prevent another infestation. The comb is about $30 but entirely worth it compared to the cost of a lice infestation.

Rating
I am a parent and I operate a school clinic. I have heard about every treatment option out there. I don't recommend the products that use pesticides (Nix, Rid etc...). They don't prove to be effective, and research has shown the risk of using those products.

I have used this product personnally (thanks to summer camp and daughters with long hair). The ease of the product when used as directed, and the comb that comes with the kit was dramatic. The nits were loosened and removed easier than I have ever found. I highly recommend this product to parents, I was not disappointed. Note: The only effective way to completely "cure" a case of headlice is to remove ALL of the nits. This takes more than shampoo and a comb. It takes dedication and several nights of combing. Licefreee just makes the job that much easier.

So far, this seems to be working. After battling lice for a few weeks, and trying RID (that didn't work), I found this at RiteAid. I used it on myself and two daughters. I did the follow up treatment, a week later (just to be safe). The itching stopped almost immediately, and I havent found any live lice or nits on any ones head. I like that it is non-toxic, and smells pretty good.

I would recommend this product.
